COLOMBIA’S MOST IMPORTANT ROCK BAND WILL PLAY AT AUSTIN TEXAS
Colombia’s most acclaimed rock band is getting ready to display its latin talent at one of the biggest Music Festivals in the US.
The Colombian band acclaimed by their hits: Bam, Mister Danger, Más vale Tarde Que Nunca (better late than never) , La Fuerza Del Amor (Power of Love), El Pibe De Mi Barrio ( The Neighborhood “Pibe”) and Para Todos Todo (Everything for everybody) will travel next week to play in two showcases at Austin, TX, at the legendary music and media entertainment festival, South By Southwest. |

Their powerful lyrics about politics, the environment and the latin neighborhood. Their music comes with a touch of authenticity and latin sounds such as cumbia, tango and ska, an original sound with a unique message that has made them an icon in their native Colombia. The band has been nominated to 2 MTV awards, the first one in 2006 with their album –Bombea (Pump it) and in 2008 with their album Sagrado Corazon (Sacred Heart). They also won “Best Local Band” at the Shock awards last November and are currently nominated in 8 categories for Premios Nuestra Tierra. |

Last year the band had over 50 concerts and became the only Colombian band to participate in the Converse Campaign- Connectivity. They were part of a Levis tour to support their Foundation- Niños por un Planeta Mejor (Kids for a better Planet) which helps sexually abused children. As part of this initiative the band designed a T-shirt sold in Levis stores and the proceeds were donated to the foundation.
